Oberoi Currently on Pace to Raise Over $200k in Highly Contested Race for Rep. Miller’s Open Seat

Rish Oberoi announced his 2019 campaign fundraising total of $100,894 in 2019 for Texas House District 26.

“It was a pretty good year for our campaign and we still have a long way to go,” said Oberoi, “We’ve got to flip the House and this is one of the most-watched red-to-blue races in Texas. Our campaign continues to gain momentum and we’ll push forward until 26 turns blue.”

Oberoi has earned the endorsements of 2018 Lt. Gov nominee Mike Collier, Run for Something, and the Fort Bend Young Democrats.

“We were looking for three things when we screened all the candidates: knowledge of the State Legislature and the job title, active campaigning and ability to fundraise, and local connections and history within Fort Bend,” said Rocky Saligram, President for the Fort Bend Young Democrats.

“We know that the Republicans will put in a lot of money into this race and we need someone that can match it. Most candidates had a combination of those things, but Rish was strong on all three.”

At filing time, the campaign had over $50,000 cash-on-hand.
